2018 Honda Odyssey Received Top Ratings from IIHS and NHTSA

The 2018 model has earned the highest safety ratings, or a TOP SAFETY PICK+ title, from IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) & a 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score from NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration). 

The GOOD rating for the small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength, and head restraint tests the 2018 Odyssey received, ADVANCED/SUPERIOR rating for the front crash prevention system, and GOOD rating for the headlights all lead to the IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ title. The LED headlights and Collision Mitigation Braking System features specifically helped the 2018 model earn the well-regarded rating. So far, 99% of the 2018 Odyssey sales is made up of EX trims and above, which all come standard with the Honda Sensing suite of features.  

The 5-Star Overall Vehicle Rating from NHTSA through the New Car Assessment program, which rates frontal crashes for the driver and passenger, side crash tests for front and rear seats, and rollover tests for each vehicle. The 2018 Honda Odyssey received almost all 5-star ratings for each test, and a 4-star rating for the rollover test.
