GRANDVILLE, Mich. -- Just in time for summer road trip season, the 2019 Honda Pilot and 2019 Honda HR-V, two of the company's award-winning adventure vehicles, are slated to hit dealerships July 16th and July 24th, respectively. The reimagined SUVs will feature refreshed, bold styling, notable powertrain refinements, and major vehicle connectivity upgrades including available Display Audio Systems with a physical volume knob, as well as support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Additionally, the 2019 Pilot and HR-V will also benefit from the extended application of Honda Sensing, the most comprehensive safety and driver-assistive technology suite in its class, as it will now be standard on all Pilots, and on EX and higher grades of the HR-V. Another step towards Honda's goal of 100% application of Honda Sensing to all vehicles manufactured in the United States by 2022.
2019 HONDA HR-V
Expanding its appeal as a sporty, 5-door subcompact SUV, the 2019 Honda HR-V will feature two all-new trims: Sport and Touring. New technology available includes the Display Audio System with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a more refined driving experience. The 2019 HR-V also features improvements to its standard Continuously Variable automatic transmission (CVT) and available Real Time all-wheel-drive system in the form of sound deadening features and variable-ratio electric power steering.
The 2019 Honda HR-V is also available for the first time with Honda Sensing safety and driver-assistive technologies, which comes standard on the EX and higher trims. The addition of the HR-V to the Honda Sensing line-up also means that all Honda models from the Fit to the Ridgeline will feature the technology suite.
2019 HONDA PILOT
With features such as aggressive styling, an available new hands-free power tailgate, and significant improvements to its 9-speed automatic transmission (available on Touring and Elite trims), the 2019 Honda Pilot brings a long list of upgrades to the company's award-winning 8-passenger SUV. New available technology updates include 4G LTE in-car WiFi, a larger Rear Entertainment System with Blu-Ray and streaming video capability, the innovative CabinTalk in-car PA system and smartphone-enabled CabinControl app, as well as a new Display Audio touchscreen with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Like the 2019 HR-V, the Pilot will also come equipped with the Honda Sensing safety and driver-assistive technology suite as standard on all grades.
The all-new 2019 Honda HR-V will be available in showrooms on July 24th, 2018, while the 2019 Honda Pilot will be available on July 16th, 2018.
