The CLA-Class has opened up a new market segment for Mercedes-Benz. BRABUS has naturally also developed an exclusive refinement program for this new model series. As is the style of the company, it includes a sporty-elegant designer outfit, powerful engine tuning, tailor-made BRABUS wheels with diameters of 18 and 19 inches, sporty-comfortable suspension solutions, and individual interior options.

The dynamic ex-factory appearance of the Mercedes CLA can receive further sporty emphasis with tailor-made BRABUS design components. The bodywork components are manufactured in OEM quality from high-grade PU plastics.

The BRABUS designers designed the front spoiler to attach to the lower section of the bumper. This not only boosts the CLA’s passing clout, but its design fine-tuned in the wind tunnel also reduces negative lift on the front axle at high speeds. In the rear the subtle BRABUS separation edge on the trunk lid and the roof spoiler successfully master the identical task.

The BRABUS alloy wheels in OEM quality are also a major factor in the BRABUS look for the CLA-Class. The 18- and 19-inch wheels were designed specifically for this car. The wheels lend the CLA an even more attractive appearance while giving it even more dynamic handling.

The largest wheel option for the Mercedes sport sedan are BRABUS 8.5Jx19 wheels in the five distinctive Monoblock E, F, Q, R and S designs. The matching high-performance tires are supplied by BRABUS technology partners Continental, Pirelli and YOKOHAMA in sizes 225/35 R 19 in front and 255/30 R 19 on the rear axle.

The BRABUS sport springs for the various versions of the CLA are calibrated to the low-profile tires. They lower the ride height of the four-door car by some 25 millimeters (1 in.). The lowered center of gravity provides an ideal combination of sporty handling and highly comfortable ride. The lowered ride height of course also benefits the car’s appearance.

At the 2013 IAA BRABUS presents the PowerXtra B25 performance kit for the turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine of the CLA 250. The BRABUS PowerXtra module is adapted to the engine electronics using plug-and-play technology.

The new parameters for engine electronics and boost-pressure control bump power output from stock 155 kW / 211 hp (208 bhp) to 180 kW / 245 hp (241 bhp). At the same time peak torque grows from 350 to 385 Nm (258 to 284 lb-ft).

This results in significantly enhanced dynamic handling and driving fun. The sprint time from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) is shortened to 6.7 seconds, top speed jumps to 250 km/h (155 mph). This makes the BRABUS-refined CLA 250 one of the most agile cars in its class.

Various BRABUS ECO PowerXtra performance kits are available for the diesel models of the CLA-Class. The plug-and-play BRABUS ECO PowerXtra D3 module is available for the CLA 220 CDI. It boosts power output of the common-rail turbodiesel from 125 kW / 170 hp (168 bhp) to 155 kW / 210 hp (208 bhp) and bumps peak torque to 410 Nm (302 lb-ft). A sprint time of 7.9 seconds for 0 - 100 km/h (62 mph) and a top speed of 238 km/h (148 mph) fully live up to the sporty outfit of the four-door car.

The BRABUS product lineup also includes stainless-steel sport exhausts with dual chrome tailpipes on either side sporting the characteristic BRABUS design. CLA owners can choose from a conventional version and the version with controlled butterfly valve, which currently is only available for the CLA 250. It allows drivers to switch between a subtle and a markedly sporty exhaust note at the push of a button in the cockpit.

The interior of any CLA can also be customized. The product options range from two-tone stainless-steel scuff plates with BRABUS logo and high-quality floor and trunk mats to matt anodized BRABUS aluminum pedals or door-lock pins.

Demands for further customization are fulfilled in the BRABUS upholstery shop. Upon customer request the experienced craftsmen transform especially soft yet extremely durable BRABUS Mastik leather and fine Alcantara into an exclusive BRABUS fine leather interior in any desired color.

Powerful engine tuning, elegant and efficient aerodynamic-enhancement components, alloy wheels with diameters of 17, 18, 19 and 20 inches, sporty-comfortable suspensions, exclusive interiors: BRABUS offers an exclusive tuning program for the Mercedes A-Class. Sporty elegance characterizes the BRABUS bodywork program, which is available in custom-tailored versions for the Mercedes A-Class with standard aerodynamics and the models of the AMG Sport equipment line. BRABUS goes beyond just adding visual highlights to all by further optimizing the aerodynamic properties. All components are manufactured from high-grade PU plastics in OEM quality.

Both BRABUS front spoiler are designed to attach to the lower section of the respective fascia. This lends the A-Class an even more dynamic appearance while the shape of the spoiler, which was optimized in the wind tunnel, further reduces lift on the front axle at high speeds. The BRABUS rear spoiler creates a perfect aerodynamic balance and makes the rear of the car even more striking.

A BRABUS rear fascia insert resembling a diffuser is available for both body styles of the new small Mercedes. With its custom-tailored cutouts it provides the perfect backdrop for the four distinctively styled tailpipes of the BRABUS stainless-steel sport exhaust system.

BRABUS alloy wheels in OEM quality add even more fascination to the new A-Class and give it even more agile handling. For this purpose the BRABUS suspension engineers and test drivers have developed custom-tailored tire/wheel combinations with diameters of 17, 18, 19 and 20 inches.

The largest option for the Mercedes compact class features BRABUS 8.5Jx19 wheels in the five distinctive Monoblock E, F, Q, R and S designs. The matching high-performance tires are supplied by BRABUS technology partners Continental, Pirelli and YOKOHAMA up to size 225/35 R 19 in front and size 255/30 R 19 on the rear axle.

The A-Class Sport models can even be upgraded with BRABUS 8.5Jx20 wheels and size 235/30 ZR 20 tires front and back. For this purpose BRABUS offers Monoblock F and R wheels. A new wheel variant painted black with a red outer edge is presented for the first time on the show car in Frankfurt.

The BRABUS sport springs for the Mercedes A-Class were developed specifically for use with sporty low-profile tires. Extensive driving tests resulted in an optimal symbiosis of sporty handling and a high level of ride comfort. What is more, the ride-height lowering by about 25 millimeters (1 in.) also benefits the car’s looks. A BRABUS coil-over suspension with sporty-comfortable tuning, which was developed in cooperation with technology partner BILSTEIN, is alternatively available. The sport suspension offers adjustable ride height, and ten-way adjustable settings for rebound and compression.

BRABUS offers the world’s largest engine tuning program for Mercedes-Benz automobiles. The top priority in all BRABUS engine developments is the symbiosis of high performance, excellent running smoothness, exemplary eco-friendliness and durability beyond reproach. BRABUS recommends high-performance lubricants from MOTUL.

BRABUS ECO PowerXtra – that’s the name of the performance kits for the common-rail turbodiesel engines of the new Mercedes A-Class. Auxiliary plug-and-play control modules meticulously custom-calibrated to each model are integrated into the engine electronics. Depending on the model the kit buts power output by up to 30 kW / 41 hp (40 bhp).

Power output of the A 200 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY equipped with BRABUS ECO PowerXtra D2 tuning jumps from 100 kW / 136 hp (134 bhp) to 121 kW / 165 hp (162 bhp). At the same time peak torque grows from 300 Nm to 350 Nm (221 to 258 lb-ft), on tap at 2,000 rpm. Performance improves accordingly: The sprint from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes just 8.9 seconds. The top speed of the BRABUS version can be limited electronically with the help of the included BRABUS Vmax unit to 210 or 220 km/h (130 or 143 mph).

On the Mercedes A 220 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY the BRABUS ECO PowerXtra D3 module increases power output by 30 kW / 41 hp (40 bhp). With 155 kW / 210 hp (208 bhp) of power and a peak torque of 410 Nm (302 lb-ft) the agile diesel car accelerates in just 7.9 seconds from 0 - 100 km/h (62 mph), and with a top speed of 230 km/h ( mph) the tuned A-Class is also significantly faster.

Performance tuning by means of a BRABUS PowerXtra module also spurs the turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engines of the A-Class. The lineup culminates in the BRABUS PowerXtra B25 tuning for the A 250.

It offers maximum performance and driving fun with 180 kW / 245 hp (241 bhp) of power, up from standard 155 kW / 210 hp (208 bhp), and a peak torque that grows from 350 to 385 Nm (258 to 284 lb-ft). A sprint time for 0 – 100 km/h (62 mph) of just 6.2 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph) place the BRABUS-tuned A-Class squarely among the sportiest performers in its class.

The fully stainless-steel BRABUS sport exhaust system with two chrome-plated tailpipes on the right and left side of the vehicle is available for all A-Class engines. The exhaust system produces a sporty but never obtrusive exhaust note. For the A 250 there is also a BRABUS sport exhaust with butterfly valve that allows switching between a discreet and a markedly sporty exhaust note.

BRABUS also offers numerous refinement options for the interior of the new A-Class. The portfolio includes bi-color stainless-steel scuff plates with BRABUS logo, matt anodized BRABUS aluminum pedals and door lock pins.

Especially soft yet extremely durable BRABUS Mastik leathers and the finest Alcantara are transformed by the BRABUS upholsterers into the BRABUS fine leather dream cockpit of the A-Class owner with loving attention to detail. The choice of upholstery color and design is as limitless as the scope of the transformation: The options range from a completion of the ex-factory leather upholstery to an exclusive BRABUS all-leather interior.
