Trusty and tough trucks like the Chevy Silverado fit right into a hard-working and time-proven city such as Memphis, and now that summer is here, our customers are beginning to ask what changes will come about during the fall for future models. There are all different types of trim levels to choose from when it comes to the Silverado. We had a few close-up blogs covering the ways in which it has been thoroughly restyled and revamped for the ultimate in efficiency, but now it's going to be cheaper too. Everyone who is looking at getting into a new truck works very hard for their money, and it is a well-known fact that having money left over after any major purchase is a relief.
Depending on which trim level you select, the Silverado comes available with six different options for powertrain, beginning with a 4.3-liter V6, all the way up to a 3.0-liter turbodiesel, with a 10-speed automatic. The Work Truck trim is now the entry-level version, and along with the Custom and Custom Trail Boss levels, they come standard with the 4.3-liter V6. The 5.3-liter V8 is available on all three trims as well, and the LT as well as RST are equipped with the new 2.7-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder, producing 310 horsepower, and 348 lb – ft of torque, with the option of a V8 also on deck.
